I just spoke with Heri and we are completely in the dark about who this person is or where they got the song. But on the other hand: the person in question has been gracious enough to take it down, seeing as it's copyrighted and not to be released before Napalm Records brings it out etc etc.
So: I'm sorry to all of you for spoiling the fun of hearing the song, but think of it as a special secret preview. And the good news? Sinklars Vísa is included on the setlist for the Paganfest tour |

Woo! \m/
But yeah, that's kind of odd. Isn't that the same person that had the music video up that I posted (which was taken down by the user as well)? _________________ http://www.last.fm/user/kerros |

Possibly - the entire username has been deleted tonight. Before she (?) disappeared she did tell me that I have never met her, so that rules out the two Icelandic fans I know of.
We've informed Napalm of the happenings, so maybe they know who it could be.
On a more personal note: Heri was not happy to hear that it had leaked, but he was extremely gratified by the positive response to the song He also told me what the setlist would be for the European Paganfest tour, but I don't want to spoil the surprise |

Ah, wow, I didn't even realize that the account was deleted.
Edit: Sneaky on editing in that last part! Glad to hear that he was happy about the positive response. Too bad we can't listen to it anymore. _________________ http://www.last.fm/user/kerros |

But it is good to hear that Sinklars Vísa will be played! I like the vocals on the leaked version a lot, can't wait to hear how it sounds live.
Still over three weeks to go for me
Songs appearing in public long before the release date really is a downside of the internet age. Let's just hope it won't happen with the whole album... _________________ Legg up í lotið! |

That shouldn't be possible. On the promo copies of the album the first 3 songs sound normal, as they will be on the album, and all the other songs are only bits of 1 or 2 minutes with a voiceover saying "You are listening to the new album Land by the band Týr, which will be out May 30th" or something like that.
Sinklars Vísa is the second (i think) song on the album so that's why it is possible that this leak came from the promo. But that means someone in Iceland (assuming that's true) got hold of the promo before the band did...bizarre.
By the time the album comes out it will also be available on iTunes and some songs will be played on the official MySpace - but Napalm will come down like a ton of rectangular building things on those publishing the record without permission. They employ one person whose main job is tracking down leaks and putting a stop to it. |

I know - how the hell do you get a hold of it before the band does? |

As Kerros said: You work in the studio, you work at Napalm Records or you know people working there. There are so many ways to get such things. I guess it will never be save. _________________ Då ska jag gråta av glädje,

So yes, Sinklars Vísa is the second song on the new album. It's on the promo and I've been playing it very loudly indeed. It rocks and is fast rising to one of my favourites of all time, although Torstein can't be moved from a firm #1.
It also works very well live, I thought. Sinklars Vísa is included in the playlist for entire Paganfest tour, so let us hear what you think about it live! |

After hearing the leaked video I was extremely pleased, but not sure how it would translate into a live show. Now i've heard pieces of it from user uploaded videos from Paganfest and it is quite amazing sounding. Heri's maturity in his live vocals floored me, as well as the maturity in general. I can't wait to see them on April 27th.
A question about the shows, does the band tend to hang around after, like at the bar in the venue, or do they tend to go somewhere else for drinking, festivities, and whatnot. |

Normally you can meet them at the merchandise stand. But Heri also says on stage where you can meet them. _________________ Då ska jag gråta av glädje,

On this tour you may assume they will always stay in the venue itself, although they may be backstage where you can't get to them - the trick then is to accost someone wearing a badge and get them to bring Heri out - he always has time for fans. |
