My girl just introduced me to the Univ. of WI reference Library, and there is an entire bookshelf there now with my saliva all over it. Currently going through Old Icelandic Poetry, Eddic Lay, and Skaldic Verse by Peter Hallburg. Good stuff, indeed! Wink

I have access to the library of the Árni Magnússon institute here in Reykjavík which has the biggest selection on books on nordic literature. And of course the institute has some manuscripts too.

Showoff. Razz I hope to get there someday when I am more financially stable and can save up for a trip. My Icelandic should be much better by then. Viking01

Edit: Finished that book, it was great! Now reading The Saga of Trond of Gate. Very short, but I have to admit, It's one of the best sagas I've read. Very Happy

I'm only through the first chapter, but it's very vividly described circumstances and events that are utterly foreign to me. I like it. So far it seems like the sort of book that 'reads itself' if you know what I mean.

I bought it because you were so fond of it. And I also could not put it down. I read it within a few hours.

Cool! I'm glad someone went on my recommendation! Very Happy

I'm actually not reading anything at the moment. Well, manuals to study for a certification, but that doesn't count.
